Southern Railways say that no trains will be stopping at Polegate station, East Sussex, until further notice due to a lighting failure at the station tonight. The cause of the problem is unknown.
They said on Twitter “We’ve received reports of a loss of station lighting at Polegate. Trains won’t be calling at this station until further notice.
“Trains will be running non-stop between Berwick and Hampden Park, and not calling at Polegate. If you are travelling to/from this station you will need to use an alternative route. Please speak to station staff at Polegate for onward travel information.
“If you are travelling to Polegate, please travel to Lewes or Eastbourne where staff will be able to assist you with onward travel options.
