A suspected serial rapist is due to appear in court next month to answer charges covering three decades, Sussex Police said this afternoon (Tuesday 17 June).
Steven Lock, 56, is alleged to have sexually attacked or abused two women, two boys and two girls, with the earliest offences dating back to the 1980s.
Lock faces 17 charges in all including nine counts of rape and five counts of indecent assault.
He has been granted bail until the date of his appearance before the bench next month.
Sussex Police said: “Police in St Leonards have charged a man with serious sexual offences against multiple women, girls and boys spanning three decades.
“Steven Lock, 56, of Willingdon Way, in St Leonards, has been charged with nine counts of rape, five counts of indecent assault and three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a child.
“The offences are reported to have taken place in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s and involved two women, two boys and two girls.
“All of the alleged victims were known to Lock.
“He is currently on bail ahead of an appearance at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 10 July.”
