Souther Railways have said on Twitter/X that train passengers could experience disruption to services this evening.
According to the update: “The power has had to be turned off as a safety precaution in the Selhurst area, due to a trespass incident
“This will affect both Southern and Thameslink services between East Croydon and London Bridge, via Selhurst and New Cross Gate
“At this stage we would advise you to delay travelling until later on. If you do need to travel you may need to use an alternative route which we will.”
A subsequent tweet/X message added: “Currently we do not have an exact estimate for when this disruption will continue until, but please leave plenty of extra time to travel, utilise ticket acceptance if applicable or delay travelling until later if possible.”
Passengers can use their tickets, at no extra cost, on Southern and Thameslink services via any reasonable route via any reasonable route, London Underground via any reasonable route and TfL buses between East Croydon and London Bridge.
