A prolific shoplifter has been convicted of 49 offences following thefts in Crawley.
Damien O’Hare, 48, of no fixed address admitted to 26 counts of shoplifting, 22 counts of breaching a Criminal Order Behaviour and one count of public order.
It was heard he stole a total of £2129.12 worth of stock such as food and household items from shops across Crawley between 3 March and 9 June.
The stores he impacted were Co-op, Poundland, Boots, Superdrug, Tesco and Marks and Spencer.
O’Hare was arrested on 9 June.
He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 10 June and pleaded guilty to all charges and has been remanded in custody.
O’Hare is due to appear before Lewes Crown Court on 8 July for sentencing.
