Post Office bosses are promising daily opening and longer hours after a branch moves next month.
The move comes to Paperlane, in Brassey Avenue, Hampden Park, Eastbourne, is taking place after the operator of the Rosebery Avenue premises resigned.
The Post Office said that the move to a new location would restore the service to the community with 105 trading hours a week.
The new branch is due to open at 1pm on Tuesday 23 July, following the Rosebery Avenue closure this month.
The Post Office said: “The opening hours will be Monday to Sunday 7am to 10pm.
“This will provide 105 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers. These opening hours are almost treble the length of the previous branch.
“We are keen to reopen the branch as soon as possible and so we have decided to go ahead with our plans.
“The opportunity to give feedback on access into and within the premises will close on Wednesday 10 July.
“Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 195907.
“Submissions can also be made via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, or by telephone 03452 660115 or textphone 03457 223355.”
“The new premises will have a wide automatic door with a threshold strip. Internally, there will be a hearing loop and space for a wheelchair.
“Similar products and services will continue to be available, however, excluding vehicle tax and dollar travel money.
“The new branch will be approximately 75 metres from the previous branch, along mostly level terrain. Roadside parking is available directly outside the new premises.”
