A woman has been attacked and robbed in a supermarket car park, Sussex Police said this morning (Monday 3 June).
The force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Littlehampton.
“Officers were called to St Martin’s Car Park, St Martins Road, at around 12pm on Tuesday 21 May.”
Police said that they believed that a woman in her sixties was pushed to the ground from behind, near Sainsburys, and her purse was stolen.
The force added: “The purse was later found discarded near the bus stop in Anchor Springs, with cash missing.
“Did you witness the incident or see anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Anchor Springs?
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 718 of 21/05.”
