A man has been convicted following a burglary in Crawley.
Officers were called to a report of a break-in at Mo Lin restaurant on High Street at around 1am on 22 May.
It is reported that a number of items, bank cards and cash was stolen.
Harvey Brackpool was identified on CCTV and was arrested on 1 June in connection with the incident and later charged with burglary.
Brackpool, 22, of no fixed address appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 3 June where he admitted to the offence.
He has been remanded into custody and will be sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on 1 July.
Chief Inspector Pauline Lane said: “Brackpool caused harm and distress to the business owner and no one who goes to work should expect to deal with such an incident.
“We worked hard with colleagues across our Crawley teams to apprehend him and ensure he was put before the courts.”
