Sussex trains disruption expected this week

Southern Railways have warned of major disruption on the train network in the week had, with

Souther Railway have said: “the ASLEF union has announced that strike action by its members will take place on Tuesday 7 May. Unfortunately, there will be no trains across the vast majority of the network, except for some very limited shuttle services.

“Additionally, there will be a ban on overtime on Monday 6 May, and from Wednesday 8 until Saturday 11 May. Services may be running to amended timetables, so please ensure you check before travelling throughout this period.

“Engineering works will be taking place across the three-day bank holiday weekend, which may also affect services.

“We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this action will cause. For more information about the Industrial Action and details of what to do if you have already purchased a ticket to travel during this period, please visit our website.”
