Detectives are hunting the driver of a car which collided with a motorbike and then drove off.
The motorcyclist, a 63-year-old local man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the crash, which happened on the A27 near the Firle turn off, at about 1pm on March 4, .
The car was travelling eastbound and the Suzuki motorcycle travelling westbound.
The car is believed to have been black and may have been right-hand drive and missing a wing mirror.
Police are keen to trace the driver of this vehicle, any witnesses, or anyone with relevant footage of the vehicles in the area at the time, including CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage.
