A teenage boy has been charged with dangerously riding an e-motorbike through Chichester on Boxing Day.
The 17-year-old is one of two teenagers arrested after two boys were seen riding the bikes, which were not pedal assisted, in East Street at about 1pm.
One of the riders was stopped by members of the public, and the other was identified and arrested later.
One 17-year-old boy, who was arrested at the scene, is still under investigation for a string of offences, including assault, harassment, affray, shoplifting and driving offences.
The other was charged with dangerous driving, plus affray, possessing a knife and driving offences.
It follows an incident in East Street around 1pm on Boxing Day, when two people were witnessed riding the vehicles through the city centre.
The boy arrested for dangerous driving will appear before Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 16 January.
The other has been released on bail, with a number of strict conditions, until 23 March as enquiries continue.
Two e-bikes and a number of bladed articles were seized in connection with the incident.
