The fourth annual Christmas tree throwing competition was won with a whopping throw of 11.1m.
Daniel Davey was crowned the victor at Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm, near Battle.
The farm’s owner Clive Collins told BBC Sussex: “We sat round thinking what can we do to put Catsfield on the map? So we decided to hold a Christmas tree throwing competition.
“A lot of people came this year to throw their tree and they were very excited.
“Daniel Davey is now the British Christmas tree throwing champion – how exciting is that?”
The winner of the women’s category was Becky Palmer who broke her 6.91m from last year with a throw of 7.5m.
The idea of a Christmas tree throwing competition began in Germany, inspired by the Swedish tradition of throwing trees.
The world record throw is currently 12 metres.
