Two men were arrested and drugs were seized when police raided three properties after tip-offs, Sussex Police said.

The force said: “Officers from Eastbourne’s Neighbourhood Policing Team have arrested two men and seized suspected drugs after carrying out three warrants in Croxden Way.

“The warrants were executed on Monday 1 June as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of controlled drugs, acting on intelligence received from the community and information gathered through local inquiries.

“At one address, officers located multiple mobile phones, a large quantity of suspected steroids, prescription medication and other drug-related paraphernalia.

“A 31-year-old man, from Eastbourne, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug, possession with intent to supply a controlled class C drug and possession of a medicinal product with intent to supply.

“A 48-year-old man, from Eastbourne, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled class C drug and possession of a medicinal product with intent to supply.

“Both have since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

“At two further addresses, officers recovered suspected class A and B drugs, together with several mobile phones.

“No arrests were made at these locations but the investigation remains ongoing.”

Chief Inspector Kara Tombling, Eastbourne district commander, said: “This operation demonstrates the importance of intelligence provided by our communities.

“Information received from members of the public, combined with proactive neighbourhood policing, has enabled us to take positive action against those suspected of being involved in the supply of illegal drugs.

“The warrants resulted in suspected drugs being seized and removed from our streets, helping to protect local communities from the harm caused by drug-related crime.”

Sussex Police added: “Anyone with information about suspected drug-related activity in their area is encouraged to report it to police online or by calling 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
