A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a bus yesterday (Thursday 4 June).
Sussex Police said this morning: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Crawley.
“Emergency services were called to The Boulevard at about 8.22pm on Thursday 4 June, following reports of a collision involving a bus and a motorcycle.
“The motorcyclist, a 39-year-old man, from Crawley, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or captured any relevant CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage.
“We are aware that footage of the incident is circulating on social media.
“We ask that people refrain from sharing it further to avoid causing additional distress to the family.
“Any footage which may assist the investigation should instead be provided directly to police.
