A “determined” thief who stole diesel and laptops during a burglary spree and was arrested while carrying amphetamines, also known as speed, has been jailed for more than three years.
Kuba Graczyk admitted a series of offences when he appeared before Recorder Amy Packham at Lewes Crown Court.
Sussex Police said: “Kuba Graczyk, 37, stole diesel fuel stored at a construction site in Arundel. He also broke into office buildings and stole laptops and equipment.
“(He stole) computer equipment and phones worth £12,000 in Three Bridges, as well as taking computer equipment from an architecture firm and from the NHS in Chichester.
“At Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday 9 September, Graczyk, formerly of Richmond Avenue, Bognor, admitted nine charges. These were
- three counts of receiving stolen goods
- two counts of burglary other than a dwelling
- criminal damage
- theft
- theft of a motor vehicle
- possession of amphetamines
“Graczyk was jailed for a total of three years and two months.
“The court was told how the first offences occurred in November 2024 when he stole diesel fuel in Arundel.
“Then, in December 2024, he was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of amphetamines in Arundel and Amberley.
“In January 2025, he caused damage to a fuel bowser and fencing at a construction site in Chichester and stole diesel fuel.
“In March 2025, police were alerted over a break-in at an office building in Terminus Road. A key card access had been used to enter the building.
“A vehicle was taken from the site and was traced by officers and recovered.
“Police were able to trace stolen laptops and items from the building to Graczyk, who was found in woodland by a police dog near the stolen vehicle.
“Finally, in July 2025 he entered an office building in Hazelwick Avenue, Three Bridges, where damage was caused to gain entry.
“Police found a hammer, pliers and a screwdriver linked to Graczyk by his DNA.”

After the sentencing, Chief Inspector Kay Hutchings said: “Kuba Graczyk is a determined offender who targeted construction sites and office buildings to commit crime.
“We have completed a thorough investigation into his spate of offences across Chichester, Arundel and in Crawley to secure a prosecution.
“He is now serving a custodial sentence for his offences.”
