A man has been identified by detectives investigating a rape in Worthing after a public appeal by police earlier today was share by local media.
The rape was reported in October, Sussex Police said today (Wednesday 31 December).
This evening, the force said: “Detectives investigating a report of a rape in the Heene area of Worthing have identified a man they wish to speak with in connection with their inquiries.
“This follows an appeal for information with a CCTV image published earlier today (Wednesday 31 December).
“The victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has received support from specially trained officers.”
