A man appeared in court today charged with trying to murder another man by stabbing him late on Saturday night.
Connor Anderson, 24, of Rock Lane, Three Oaks, Guestling, near Hastings, was charged with the attempted murder of Simon Bracken, 58, also of Rock Lane.
Mr Bracken is also known as Bert or Bertram Bloomfield.
Sussex Police said: “A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder at an address near Hastings.
“Emergency services were called to an address in Guestling at 11.45pm on Saturday 26 April.
“A 58-year-old man was treated for serious injuries consistent with a stabbing and was taken to hospital where he remains.
“Officers arrested a 24-year-old man at the scene.
“Both men are known to each other.
“Subsequently, Connor Anderson, 24, of Guestling, was charged with attempted murder.
“He appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday 28 April to answer the charge.
“Anderson was remanded in custody and will next appear before Lewes Crown Court on Monday 26 May.”
