The owners of the Worthing Wheel are asking permission to set up every summer for the next three to four years.
Sheridan Wesley from City Observations Limited, which runs the wheel, has applied for temporary permission to put the 44m wheel up on Marine Parade once again.
The application asks for permission for the “seasonal installation and operation of a 44m high observation wheel (possibly three to four years), with 27 viewing gondolas holding six persons, plus payment booth and welfare facilities.”
If approved, it will be at the same site opposite the end of Montague Place, just to the west of Worthing Pier.
City Observations says it wants permission to operate the wheel there from March until November each year until 2028.
The application says City Observations has already been in discussions with Worthing Borough Council about the application.
The council has until 9 April to make a decision.
