A motorbike was seized after it was spotted being ridden at speeds of 70mph through residential areas this week.
The bike was first seen at about 4pm on Monday by PCSOs on patrol in Seaford, who alerted nearby units, including two unmarked cars.
They ended up pursuing the bike around Seaford for about half an hour – until the rider thought he had lost them and went back home.
But there, a surprise was waiting for him.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Lewes police said: “After acting on intel gathered from previous community engagement, officers identified the road that he might reside in and took a chance.
“He eventually turned into this road and to his home address where officers were waiting for him.
“His bike was then seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 – making this the fifth seizure from Lewes’ Neighbourhood Policing Team’s C Section in the past two weeks.”
The bike was also registered as being off-road, was uninsured, had no MOT and was registered to an incorrect address.
