A teenager has been charged with stabbing a man in the early hours of Saturday morning (Saturday 21 December).
Santon Dhar, 18, will spend Christmas and the new year behind bars, awaiting a court appearance next month, charged with having a knife, assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and having cannabis.
Sussex Police said this evening (Monday 23 December) that an 18-year-old had been charged in connection with a stabbing in Horsham.
The force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following an altercation outside Mungo’s Bar, in Park Place, Horsham, in the early hours of Saturday 21 December.
“A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds.
“He has since been treated and discharged.
“Officers attended the scene and detained a suspect.
“A bladed article was recovered near by.
“Eighteen-year-old Santon Dhar, of Ifield Road, Crawley, has been charged with committing grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article in public and possession of cannabis.
“He has been remanded in custody to appear before Lewes Crown Court on Monday 20 January.
“A 22-year-old man, from Southwark, London, was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.
“He has been released on conditional bail, pending further inquiries.
