A man was remanded in custody when appeared in court for affray and having a knife in public.
Sussex Police said today (Wednesday 23 October): “A man has been charged following an incident in Shoreham.
“Officers were called to a report of a man acting erratically with a knife in Kingsland Close, Shoreham, at around 11.25pm on Friday (18 October).
“Police arrived swiftly and detained a man who was taken to hospital.
“When he was discharged the following day, he was arrested and later charged.
“David Chiswell, 36, of Kingsland Close, Shoreham, has been charged with affray and possession of a knife in a public place.
“He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (21 October) and was remanded in prison.
“He is due to appear before a court to be fixed on Friday 8 November.”
