Sussex Police said that officers had arrested two men on suspicion of rape this morning (Saturday 21 September).
The force said that they responded to a report of a woman being raped near Broadfield Barton, in Crawley, shortly after 4am today.
Officers cordoned off an area outside a branch of Poundland with police tape.
The force said that the complainant was being supported by specialist officers.
A 30-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were arrested and remained in custody.
Sussex Police said: “Anyone with any information about the incident including any relevant CCTV, mobile or dashcam footage is urged to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 215 of 21/90.”
