A new free business start-up programme funded by Lewes District Council and delivered by ‘always possible’ will start in July 2024.
The Lewes District Start-up Programme is a three-part programme of support for pre-start and early-stage businesses, including community enterprises, co-operatives and other social enterprises.
Part one is for residents who have a business idea. The sessions begin with a half-day morning workshop on Wednesday July 3 at The Hillcrest Centre (9:30-13:00) in Newhaven, followed by a facilitated drop-in session in the afternoon (14:00-17:00). The learning will help attendees transform their ideas into actionable plans.
Following the in-person sessions, all those taking part will have access to a wide range of online resources, peer support and experts via ‘always possible’s’ online platform, The Possibility Club.
Part two of the programme, starting in the Autumn, will help budding entrepreneurs to develop their own 12-month business plans, including finance, marketing and customer management. The final part of the programme is for start-ups thinking about the growth of their business.
