The member of parliament for East Worthing and Shoreham has revealed he will not be standing for re-election in the general election, which must be called in the next year.
He made the announcement at the AGM of his local Conservative association at the weekend and has shared his letter to the association chairman on Twitter/X.
He said: “Last night I informed the AGM of the East Worthing & Shoreham Conservative Association that I would not be standing as the Conservative candidate at the next General Election. This is my letter to the Association Chairman.:
