Railway services have been disrupted in East Sussex tonight. A signal failure between Lewes and Eastbourne is causing delays.
In the past hour Southern Railway has said on Twitter/X: “There has been a fault with the signalling system between Lewes and Eastbourne. This is causing delays in the area.
“Services between Lewes and Eastbourne are delayed by up to 15 minutes. You can still use your normal route to travel but this may take longer than usual. Please check Journey planners before travelling or for live train times here
In the past few minutes (20:19) they added: “Our specialist teams have been able to fix the signalling fault and we are working to getting services back to normal. You can still use your normal route to travel but please allow an extra 15 minutes to reach your destination
