Worthing man charged after Christmas Eve car chase

A man suffered facial injuries when he was attacked by a masked stranger with a knuckleduster, Sussex Police said today (Monday 8 January).

The force issued an appeal for witnesses and information after the assault which happened in broad daylight just over a fortnight before Christmas.

Sussex Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Wisborough Green on Friday 8 December.

“The victim was approached by an unknown man at around 12.40pm while in his van in Durbans Road, opposite the cricket pitch.

“A knuckleduster or similar weapon is believed to have been used to assault the victim, causing facial injuries.

“The suspect is described as 6ft and wearing a long black coat, with a hood, a black face mask and grey gloves.

“If you were in the area and saw what happened or have any information about the incident, report online or call 101 quoting 560 of 08/12.”
