Police publish picture of suspect after attack in Hassocks

Man suffers serious injuries in stabbing

A man suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital after he was stabbed in Hassocks last week.

Today (Tuesday 19 September), Sussex Police issued a picture of the suspect and a public appeal for help to identify him.

The force said: “Do you recognise this man?

“Police would like to speak to him in connection with a stabbing in Clayton Avenue, Hassocks, on Wednesday 13 September.

“A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains at this time.

“An extensive area search and house-to-house inquiries were completed at the scene and the investigation has been ongoing.

“Officers believe the man pictured has information that could help the investigation.

“If you can help us identify this man, or if this is you, please contact us online or via 101 quoting 1349 of 13/09.”
