A woman who admitted being drunk on a flight has denied sexually assaulting two members of the cabin crew.
Valerie Mizen, 59, of New Orchard Street, Mount Pleasant, Swansea, was intoxicated on an EasyJet flight from Egypt to Gatwick airport in January.
At Brighton Crown Court today (Monday 12 October), Mizen pleaded guilty to being drunk in an aircraft.
She entered a not guilty plea to two counts of sexual assault after she was arraigned – or formally charged – with intentionally touching a man and that touching was sexual when he did not consent and you did not reasonably believe that he was consenting.
Judge Tim Walker remanded Mizen on conditional bail, requiring her to notify her solicitors of any change in her permanent address or phone number.
Judge Walker told her that she would face a trial by jury, starting on Monday 6 March 2028.
The trial is expected to last up to five days.
The identity of the two men is protected by law.
