Echo & The Bunnymen finally announce an Eastbourne gig

Echo & The Bunnymen

Formed in Liverpool in 1978, Echo & The Bunnymen cast an astonishing brightness into the long shadows of punk rock. From the very beginning, they brought matchless musicality, along with Ian McCulloch’s unmistakable, inimitable British wit and soul, to a body of songs that generations since have learned and sung. Over the years, their poignant and stirring records have been labelled everything from new wave and post-punk to psychedelia and goth. In truth, they are simply the glorious work of one of the greatest rock ’n’ roll bands ever to emerge from Liverpool.

Today (22nd September) Echo & The Bunnymen have announced a UK tour for November 2026 in support of their new album, ‘Apples For Isaac’, out now.

The run opens at Cardiff Tramshed on 9th November and visits Eastbourne Winter Garden on 10th November – which by our reckoning is their first visit to the sunny seaside town – and then carries on in Southampton, Wolverhampton, Middlesbrough, Holmfirth and Coventry.

Tickets go on general sale at 10:00 on Thursday 24th September 2026 via www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

Echo & The Bunnymen November 2026 tour dates:
Monday 9 – Cardiff, Tramshed
Tuesday 10 – Eastbourne, Winter Garden
Thursday 12 – Southampton, Engine Rooms
Friday 13 – Wolverhampton, The Wulfrun Hall
Tuesday 17 – Middlesbrough, Empire
Thursday 19 – Holmfirth The Picturedrome
Friday 20 – Coventry, HMV Empire

The newly announced dates follow the release of Echo & The Bunnymen’s first album of new music in twelve years ‘Apples For Isaac’. It is the band’s 13th album and follows 2014’s ‘Meteorites’ and the 2018 compilation ‘The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon’. The album is available now on vinyl, CD and digital formats. Listen to ‘Apples For Isaac’ HERE.

An untouchable voice singing lyrics that could well be poetry from the stars, set against a musical backdrop capable of levitating listeners without warning — ‘Apples For Isaac’ is a monumental return from Echo & The Bunnymen. After years spent performing their immense catalogue of classics to audiences around the world, the Bunnymen have recorded an album that is bold and confident and at times even offers the listener a loving embrace. Across ‘Apples For Isaac’s eleven songs, Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant and the band have created an utterly addictive collection that perfectly captures the very essence of what makes the Bunnymen so great.

‘Apples For Isaac’ features peerless drummer Clem Burke playing on ten of the album’s eleven tracks. The Bunnymen noted his contribution to the album: “The mighty, legendary Clem Burke – longtime friend of Mac – was integral to the making of the album, and heartbreakingly passed away during its completion… love you Clem X”

‘Apples For Isaac’ features the singles ‘Brussels Is Haunted’, ‘The Light That Surrounds You’ and ‘Take Me By The Hand’. The track listing is:

‘Take Me By The Hand’
‘Can’t Be Sold’
‘Brussels Is Haunted’
‘I’ll Be Your Sunshine’
‘Hijacked’
‘The Honey’
‘Unstoppable Force’
‘The Light That Surrounds You’
‘Lab Rats Ran’
‘Asimov’
‘We Prayed In The Dark’

‘Apples For Isaac’ was produced by Ian McCulloch and mixed by Ian McCulloch, Alan Moulder and Andrea Wright.

Echo & The Bunnymen have recently played a massive series of gigs across the UK and the Americas. The band will also play the following in support of the new album:

Tuesday 22nd September – London Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre
Wednesday 23rd September – London Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre
Sunday 20th December – Glasgow Barrowland
Tuesday 22nd December – Glasgow Barrowland

Tickets on sale from HERE.

Echo & The Bunnymen are Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, Ste Brannan, Simon Finley, Mike Smith and Peter Riley.
