Police have issued a public appeal for help to find a wanted man because they are looking to return him to prison.
The force said on Tuesday 3 March: “We’re searching for Stephen May, 36, who is wanted on recall to prison for breaching the terms of his licence.
“He is known to frequent the Brighton, Shoreham, Horsham, Worthing, Gatwick and Crawley areas.
“Anyone who sees him is asked to not approach him and call 999 immediately, quoting crime reference 47260041572.”
He was jailed for a total of 21 months at Lewes Crown Court last July by Judge Christine Laing, the honorary recorder of Brighton and Hove.

May had pleaded guilty to stealing a Boursin cheese from the Co-op, in High Street, Shoreham, and to a racially aggravated assault at the start of last year.
He also admitted affray and having a knife in Railway Approach, Worthing, shortly before Christmas 2024.
