A teenage driver died in a car crash late last night, Sussex Police said this morning (Monday 4 August).
Thd force said: “A teenage girl has tragically died in a single vehicle collision in Binderton, near West Dean.
“A white Vauxhall Corsa was travelling southbound on the A286 Chilgrove Road when it collided with a garden wall at around 11.16pm on Sunday 3 August.
“The sole occupant of the vehicle – an 18-year-old woman from Emsworth in Hampshire – was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
“Her next of kin have been informed and supported by specialist officers.
“Police are urging anyone who saw what happened or captured any relevant dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage to email collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting Operation Parham.”
