A motorcyclist died in a crash last night (Friday 25 July).
Sussex Police said this morning: “A motorcyclist was involved in a single vehicle collision on the A272 Rocky Lane, near the junction with Cedar Avenue, Haywards Heath, on Friday (25 July) at around 10.20pm.
“Emergency services attended and despite immediate lifesaving action given, the man, aged in his twenties, sadly died at the scene.
“His family has been informed.
“Rocky Lane, closed from Virginia Drive to the Bolnore village roundabout while the investigation continues, has now reopened.
“In the meantime, police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the motorcycle being ridden prior to the collision or captured CCTV or dashcam footage to email collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk quoting Operation Ninewest.”
