A man was taken to hospital after a house fire this morning (Saturday 27 April).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that five crews were sent to tackle the blaze in Southbourne Road, Eastbourne.
The 999 call came in shortly after 7am after the fire broke out on the ground floor.
The fire service said that firefighters were able to put out the blaze using hose-reel jets.
One man suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
The fire is believed to have started accidentally but an investigation into the cause is being carried out.
