Two women suffered serious injuries in a crash yesterday (Wednesday 26 August), Sussex Police said.
The force said: “Police are appealing for further witnesses and information following a serious collision in Littlehampton.
“Emergency services were called to the A284 Nightingale Way at about 4.50pm on Wednesday 26 August.
“The collision involved a Ford Transit van and trailer and a Honda Jazz, approaching the roundabout with the A259 Worthing Road.
“The driver of the Honda, a 67-year-old woman, and a passenger, an 87-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital.
“The driver of the Ford Transit, a 66-year-old man, was not injured.
“Officers are investigating and have appealed for witnesses and anyone with relevant information such as dashcam footage to come forward if they have not already done so.
“Information can be reported to Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Tiverton.”
