Get ‘Down In The Park’ with Gary Numan

Gary Numan is the latest artist announced to headline Palace Bowl Presents, a brand new festival series in the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl. The series will feature an eclectic line-up of global headliners performing across twelve events from Thursday 30th July to Sunday 16th August.

Support for Gary Numan will come from Marc Almond, performing the songs of Soft Cell and solo hits, plus Ladytron.

 Shows announced so far include:

  • Friday 31st July: Grace Jones with Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Soul II Soul.
  • The inaugural ‘Gospel Garden Festival’ on Sunday 2nd August, headlined in a UK-exclusive by Kirk Franklin and Tasha Cobbs Leonard, supported by Fred Hammond, Mercy Chinwo and Jerub. Gospel Garden is set to become London’s biggest outdoor gospel festival.
  • Gary Numan on Thursday 6th August, with support coming from Marc Almond and Ladytron.
  • Bastille and The Wombats, who will both perform headline sets on Thursday 13th August.

Palace Bowl Presents will take place at the historic Crystal Palace Bowl, one of London’s most iconic open-air venues. Established in 1961, the Bowl and its famous ‘Garden Party’ events have played host to some of the most eclectic acts in British festival history, from prog to punk, rock to reggae, pop to the proms. As well as Bob Marley’s final London show, the Crystal Palace Bowl has seen concerts from artists including Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, Lou Reed, Curtis Mayfield, Gil Scot Heron, Ian Dury, Vera Lynn and many more.

Gary Numan’s influence has been recognised by a diverse array of the world’s greatest artists—from Prince to Lady Gaga, Jack White to Kanye West; Beck to Queens Of The Stone Age, and The Foo Fighters to Nine Inch Nails, many of which have collaborated with Numan and covered or sampled tracks from his vast back catalogue. Numan’s unique, pioneering style continues to connect the world over, he has never stopped innovating.
