They are known for their innovative blend of experimental pop, freak folk, and genres as diverse as blues, opera, electronica, and hip-hop.

Over the past two decades, they’ve built a devoted global following, celebrated for their boundary-pushing artistry and commitment to storytelling through music and visuals.

Formed in Paris in 2003, CocoRosie’s debut album ‘La Maison de Mon Rêve’ became an unexpected underground success, leading to a series of seven groundbreaking albums that include ‘Noah’s Ark’ (2005) and ‘Put The Shine On’ (2020). Their newest work ‘Little Death Wishes’ came out on 28th March and it explores themes of generational struggles, love, and resilience. The album features collaborations with artists like Chance the Rapper and Greg Saunier of Deerhoof.

CocoRosie’s music is marked by Sierra’s operatic vocals, harp, and flute, alongside Bianca’s unique percussive beats and vocal style, often incorporating children’s toys and experimental sounds. They’ve collaborated with iconic acts such as TV On The Radio and Kronos Quartet and have composed original scores for acclaimed director Robert Wilson.

Known for their evocative live performances, CocoRosie are this year embarking on a world tour where they will be performing their latest album with a string quartet. With a strong connection to queer and trans communities, the duo’s artistry extends beyond music into visual arts, poetry, and theatre. The Brighton concert is only one of four that will be happening here in the UK, with the other being in London, Cambridge and Bristol.

With over 230,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and a legacy of inspiring musicians and fans alike, CocoRosie continues to redefine what it means to create boundary-less art.

Support for the Brighton concert will come from local legend Maia Kalwill.

Tickets for the Brighton concert are on sale now and are available to purchase HERE.
