A serial shoplifter has been banned from every branch of Sainsbury’s and the Co-op in Sussex for the next three years.
Magistrates sentenced Mwiya Kamutumwa to three months in prison, suspended for a year, and imposed a criminal behaviour order which bars him from various business premises.
Sussex Police said: “Mwiya Kamutumwa, known locally as Kush, targeted stores in Chichester including Tesco Express and the Co-op, in South Street, TK Maxx, in East Street, and One Stop, in St Paul’s Road, between Tuesday 18 February and Monday 14 April.
“He stole hundreds of pounds’ worth of goods such as household cleaning products, trainers, an Easter egg and multi-boxes of chocolate bars.
“But his offending was reported by the businesses which enabled Sussex Police to build a file to present to the Crown Prosecution Service.
“Kamutumwa, 24, of Schirmer Road, Chichester, was subsequently charged with six counts of theft from a shop, all of which he pleaded guilty to.

“He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15 April where he was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
“He was also given a three-year criminal behaviour order, requested by Sussex Police, which includes a number of prohibitions.”
The order said that Kamutumwa must not
