Man suffers serious injuries in A259 hit and run

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on the A27 in Worthing yesterday (Wednesday 30 October).

Sussex Police issued a public appeal for witnesses, information and any footage to help the investigation into the death.

The force also said that the A27 had reopened after the collision, which happened in Arundel Road, near Teign Walk, at about 8pm yesterday.

Police said: “A 69-year-old man was confirmed deceased at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed.

“We are undertaking inquiries to establish the circumstances around the collision and ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage to contact police.
