Police arrested a man with knife after he was reported to have been behaving in a way that caused concern.
Sussex Police said yesterday (Saturday 19 October): “We responded to a report of a man acting erratically with a knife in Kingsland Close, Shoreham, at around 11.25pm last night (Friday 18 October).
“Officers arrived and detained a 36-year-old local man who was taken to hospital with a medical condition.
“He has since been discharged.
“A knife was seized and no one else was injured.
“The man has now been arrested on suspicion of possession of a weapon in a public place and is in custody.
“An increased police presence can be expected in the area while inquiries are ongoing.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience during the incident.”
