A woman has been bailed by police after a motorcyclist died in a crash on the A272 at the weekend.
The rider was a 48-year-old man, from Billingshurst, and he died in the crash which happened just to the west of Wisborough Green at lunchtime on Saturday (26 September).
The other vehicle, a green Vauxhall Frontera, was being driving by a woman, 52, from Horsham.
She was arrested arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drug driving and driving without insurance.
Sussex Police said: “Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was tragically killed in a collision near Kirdford.
“The rider was travelling eastbound on the A272 when his red Ducati collided with a green Vauxhall Frontera travelling in the same direction.
“The incident occurred close to the junction with Linfold Road at about 1.20pm on Saturday 26 September.
“The motorcyclist – a 48-year-old man from Billingshurst – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
“The Vauxhall driver – a 52-year-old woman from Horsham – was uninjured.
“She was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drug driving and driving without insurance.
“She has been released on bail until Monday 14 December as our investigation continues.
“In the meantime, officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or captured any relevant dashcam footage of either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision to come forward.
