A police community support officer (PCSO) faces court charged with two offences of driving dangerously while on duty.
Sussex Police said: “A former Sussex Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving when he was on duty.
“Nathan Dunbar, 23, who was based on East Sussex division, is alleged to have driven a marked police vehicle in a dangerous manner on two occasions – Wednesday 4 February and Thursday 12 March – in the Eastbourne area.
“An investigation was launched by the Sussex Police Professional Standards Department where Dunbar was identified as the driver of the vehicles and subsequently charged with the two offences.
“He is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 11 August.
“Dunbar has since resigned from the force and is no longer serving as a PCSO.”
