A 12-year-old boy suffered a broken arm when he was assaulted in the street.

The incident happened almost three weeks ago and today (Monday 5 February) Sussex Police issued an appeal for witnesses and information.

The force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Littlehampton.

“A 12-year-old boy was left with a broken arm when he was assaulted by another boy on Wednesday 17 January between 3.50pm and 4pm in Cornwall Road.

“Two women reportedly stopped to help the victim and we believe they can help with our inquiries.

“Witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 1300 of 18/01.”
