A suspected drug driver crashed into a bridge, Sussex Police said.
The force said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a vehicle being driven dangerously in Horsham on Thursday 26 March.
“It was reported that at around 11.30am a dark blue (may appear black) 4×4 car was driven from Leith View Road north through the Roffey Playing Fields into Lockwood Close before travelling west on Lambs Farm Road, and later colliding with a pedestrian bridge near St Mary’s Church, Causeway.
“No injuries were reported.
“A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle dangerously, being the driver of a vehicle failing to stop after a road accident, driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs and possession of a class A drug.
“He has been bailed whilst the inquiries are ongoing.
“Officers are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry in an ongoing investigation.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has relevant information such as CCTV, mobile or dashcam footage is encouraged to report it to us.
