The force said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a vehicle being driven dangerously in Horsham on Thursday 26 March.

“It was reported that at around 11.30am a dark blue (may appear black) 4×4 car was driven from Leith View Road north through the Roffey Playing Fields into Lockwood Close before travelling west on Lambs Farm Road, and later colliding with a pedestrian bridge near St Mary’s Church, Causeway.

“No injuries were reported.

“He has been bailed whilst the inquiries are ongoing.
