A man was taken to hospital after a seafront stabbing.
Sussex Police said: “Police have arrested two men following a stabbing in New Parade, Worthing, on Thursday afternoon (5 March).
“Emergency services were called to New Parade at around 3.20pm following the report of a stabbing.
“A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries and he is in a stable condition.
“A 25-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been arrested for assault occasioning grievous bodily harm (GBH) and a 31-year-old man, from Worthing, has been arrested for assisting an offender.”
Detective Inspector Chris May said: “Two men have been arrested in relation to this incident.
“This is an active investigation and we encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or who has relevant information, such as CCTV or mobile footage, to contact us.
“There will be patrols in the area for reassurance and people are encouraged to stop and talk to officers.”
Sussex Police added: “Anyone with information is asked to report it to us online or call 101, quoting serial 855 of 05/03.”
