A murder hunt is under way after the body of a man was found at a house this afternoon (Wednesday 3 September).
Sussex Police said that no one had been arrested and there would be more police in the area as detectives carried out inquiries.
The force said: “Police are investigating the death of a man at a property in Lindum Road, Worthing, on Wednesday afternoon (3 September).
“Emergency services were called to the address at around 4pm to reports of a man having suffered serious injuries.
“The man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed.”
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Friday said: “Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while we investigate what we believe to be an isolated incident.
“This is currently being treated as a murder investigation and no arrests have been made at this time.”
